he is a great prof.. He takes the time to help if there are questions that need answers. he also talks about random things, but they all ARE relevant to the topics at hand. I think hes a wonderful prof. and i'd highly recommend him for any class he teaches. pay attention in class people, its not that difficult.
I had him for three courses and I will take as many courses as I can with him. I think he is an excellent teacher. prepares his students well for life. inspired me a lot. I recommend him to anyone.
This class was great because it was almost 100% discussion. He is very knowledgeable but can be very dull. I took 2 courses back to back and 6 hours of monotone lecture was almost unbearable. His 422 class is very dull.
Dr. Lencki would rather talk about his exotic cars and motorcycle than material that's actually going to be on the exam. He can't focus and doesn't prepare his students for exams. Thank God half the exam are take-home! I will avoid him again if I can.
He goes off on tangents and gets distracted easily. For all his courses about paying attention, he didn't say a word about a girl who painted her nails in class! He's a fine teacher but I would avoid him if you don't want to be bored out of your mind.
Very simple. Lencki DOES NOT USE TURNITIN.COM so everyone in class pretty much just copy and pasted for the paper and take home parts of exams. In class part of exam was simple because you can use your laptop, book, notes, etc. The exams included little material from book and mostly just what he thought was important to go over. Very monotone though...
Dr. Lencki, volunteered to write a letter of recomendation for grad school 8 weeks into class: When I needed for him to write it 5 months later, he didn't remember I even took that clss with him...His episodic memory is failing (to the detriment of at least this one student). I feel for him because some day, it might be me who can't remember well. |
